Welcome to the 48th Annual NBASLH Convention!

Dear NBASLH Family,

We are beyond excited for the 2026 NBASLH Convention in Atlanta, Georgia! This year’s theme is Rooted in Resistance: Advocacy, Resilience & Liberation. Our theme calls us to honor the very purpose of NBASLH’s existence, emboldens us to remain steadfast in the values that define who we are while envisioning cultural solidarity within our profession. 

Atlanta is more than just a host city. It is a cornerstone of Black history and culture. Known as the “Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement,” Atlanta is the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and home to many historic institutions, including Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University. It is a city where resilience, innovation, and the power of Black voices have shaped not only the South, but the entire nation.

We are honored to gather in this historic city as we continue to advance the mission of NBASLH, connect with one another, and celebrate the brilliance of Blackness within our field. We cannot wait to see you in Atlanta for an unforgettable convention!
