The 2020 NBASLH CONVENTION IS POSTPONED - 3/16/2020

We recognize the extraordinary impact COVID-19 is having on individuals and companies, and we hope for the health and safety for our members and attendees.  We continue to monitor the CDC for prevention recommendations.

We understand you have questions surrounding NBASLH’s decision to postpone the Convention due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Below is a list of frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Hotel Rooms
Q. What should I do if I reserved a hotel room through the NBASLH Registration Process?
A. We are waiting for a response from the hotel if they will automatically cancel room that were reserved in the NBASLH room block. You will receive a response as soon as we hear back from the hotel.

New Convention Dates
Q. What are the new dates of the 2020 NBASLH Convention?
A.  We are working closely with the hotel to identify new dates for the event.  Due to the magnitude of this situation, there are many considerations to be reviewed.  We ask for patience during this time and we will inform you of the new dates as soon as possible.

Your Convention Registration
Q. How do I request a refund for the NBASLH Convention?
A. Since we are postponing the event, all registration fees will be rolled forward to the rescheduled 2020 Convention.  If you are unable to attend the 2020 Convention, you have 2 options:

  • Option 1 - Submit a request in writing to transfer your paid-in-full registration fees to the 2021 Convention (and take advantage of securing your spot now).
  • Option 2 - Notify us in writing with the request to cancel your registration fee for this year's Convention and NBASLH will issue a full refund within 45 days from the newly rescheduled date (to be announced).  Exhibitors will receive a separate communication with information on how to roll their booth reservations to 2021 or receive a refund.

SLP National Exam review course
Q. I signed up to take the review course for the SLP National exam.  Has the review course been postponed?
A. The onsite portion of the review course has been postponed.  Currently, we are exploring other viable alternatives.  An update will be provided as soon as possible.

Travel
Q.  I have already made my travel arrangements.  What do I do about these tickets or fees?
A. Please refer to the airline carrier and/or train ticket policies regarding any cancellation fees associated with your travel plans.  We understand that some airlines are currently allowing changes to itineraries without any fees – we are working as quickly as possible to get new dates established. All changes to airline tickets and itineraries are the responsibility of individual travelers. NBASLH is not responsible, nor can we inter-or supersede any policies or practices of transportation authorities.
