STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

NBASLH Student Travel Stipend

The NBASLH Executive Board is pleased to announce that again this year four Travel Stipends in the amount of $250 are available for the 2012 Convention. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2012.

The National Black Association for Speech-Language & Hearing (NBASLH), invites black students to submit a research paper to its scholarship competition. The winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship during the annual NBASLH Convention. The recipient will also receive a travel stipend to attend the Convention and present their paper. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2012.

Staffing Options and Solutions, Inc. (SOS) is a therapist owned and managed company providing contract therapy staff to schools and medical facilities in 13 states. The therapist owners of SOS are committed to encouraging the increased participation of talented minority therapists in the fields of speech, occupational and physical therapy. SOS is pleased to support the efforts of NBASLH within the filed of speech-language pathology. This year, SOS will sponsor two, $500 scholarships to be awarded to qualified student members of NBASLH who are enrolled in a full-time master's degree program in speech-language pathology. All qualified students are encouraged to apply. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2012.

Speak Like Me, Inc. is a therapist owned private practice that is committed to offering a comprehensive range of therapeutic speech, language and swallowing services to infants through geriatrics. Our staff of highly trained, expert speech-language pathologists, possess years of experience and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). It is with great pride and pleasure that Speak Like Me, Inc., supports the efforts of NBASLH by offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified student member, currently enrolled in a full-time master’s degree program in speech pathology that is pursuing the medical speech pathology track. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2012.

Ultimate Destination Foundation is a mentoring group that is committed to assisting school-age students with liberating themselves so that they can recognize, visualize and achieve their ultimate purpose for which they were created by encouraging success in the educational process, providing examples of professionals in and out of the community, imparting to them a system of values and ethics, and exposing them to the world beyond their immediate communities. It is with great pride and pleasure that Ultimate Destination Foundation supports the efforts of NBASLH by offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified student member, currently enrolled in a full-time master’s degree program in speech pathology that is pursuing the school-based track. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2012.
