Communication Sciences and Disorders Doctoral Program Consortium

Research program designed to prepare graduates to be teacher scholars at institutions of higher learning
Pedagogy in research, grant writing, and teaching with internships in those areas
Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration including otolaryngology, neurology, psychology, special          education, occupational therapy, and nursing
Shared faculty resources, three university campus facilities, clinical and research sites in medical, school, and private agencies

Earned graduate degree in speech-language pathology or audiology required

Doctoral students may be eligible for financial support through a Leadership Personnel grant awarded to the Consortium by the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. This support includes all tuition and fees, $15,000 per year, and travel to professional meetings to present research findings. Supported students are required to find employment in institutions of higher learning as faculty members at a payback ratio of two years employment for every one year of support.
