Learning Outcomes

Well written learning outcomes are participant-oriented, measurable and observable.  Learning outcomes include ACTION words.  For example, words such as perform, identify, recall, distinguish, and differentiate are considered to be examples of action words acceptable to use when writing learning outcomes.  These words are easily observed and measurable.  Do NOT use words such as understand, learn or appreciate.  These words are vague and do not lend themselves to be observed or measured.   Click here for more suggestions for acceptable action words for Writing Measurable and Observable Learner Outcomes.

Provide at least 3 outcomes.
At the culmination of this session, participants will be able to ....
